SOST 90: SOCIAL STUDIES 90
5 CREDITS

Social Studies 90 emphasizes the development of critical thinking, writing, and analytical skills essential for postsecondary study. The focus of this course is the study of democratic and authoritarian governments, economies, and societies on a global front in the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries, and Aboriginal history in Canada from the pre-contact era to the present. This provides a global perspective on lasting effects of colonialism. Social Studies 90 prepares students to write the Social Studies 30-1 Diploma Examination.
