LING 103: TRADITIONAL KINSHIP STRUCTURES IN A CONTEMPORARY MODE
3 CREDITS
This course explores the foundational role of traditional Indigenous kinship structures and their continued relevance and transformation in contemporary Indigenous communities. Through Indigenous pedagogies, oral histories, ceremony, and academic inquiry, students will examine the interconnections between family, governance, identity, and land, and how these systems are being reclaimed and adapted today. Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and community voices guide this exploration.
